Picture
Gaye is a self-taught experimental artist who is passionate about her art. She has traveled extensively and always returns with armfuls of photos and buckets of memories and ideas. She first started painting while traveling in her Combi van in the 70’s and has continued painting in between working full time, having kids, running a deer farm etc

Now retired after 27 years living overseas, Gaye still enjoys traveling to new places, having just returned from Europe, Russia & and the Mediterranean. She has won numerous art awards and has had 4 successful solo art exhibitions. She spends a lot of time in Bali as she considers that her spiritual home and the place to re-vitalise her inner soul and creative spirit. She runs painting holidays in Bali to share her love of the island and art. Gaye enjoys experimenting with various media and topics to broaden her skills.

"I focus on what moves me. Usually it's simple, beautiful things. That is the world that is mine. I don't care if I am "discovered." I just love the process and activity of making things. I like art that draws me into someone's experience, a point in time, or a moment that I can become a part of. "
