Featured Artist of March 2019 - Kirsten Craggs

Kirsten Craggs
I love being creative, and was always drawing, painting and creating as a kid and I still do as an adult!
When it comes to art, I don't have a specific style or medium, but try whatever sparks my interest whether it be art or craft. Over the years I've covered a broad spectrum of both. I studied folk art in the late 1990s and explored my favourite medium, pastel, under the tutelage of Bill Kerr at Hobsons Bay Arts Society. I also enjoy painting with acrylics. Iove paper crafts, and make and sell handcrafted cards at Louis Joel Community Centre in Altona.
Currently, I teach a junior art class for Sandra’s Art In Motion, and have been an active member of Hobsons Bay Arts Society for 18 years, volunteering in the roles of Secretary and Exhibition Coordinator. I also lead a BYO Art & Craft group: Artful Dabblers, 7pm Wednesdays at Louis Joel.
