This is our second community sketching event, and we are very fortunate to have the Friends of Greenwich Bay providing the presentation on what is an ecologically unique, but sometimes overlooked portion of the Hobsons Bay coastline. Framed by the "Warmies" (the secret of many local fishermen), the mouth of the Yarra River and the Sandy Point Nature Reserve, this area with its abutting Greenwich Bay playing fields, naval memorial, and boating facilities forms a vibrant ecological and social hub for our communities. The presentation gives context to the rich and varied sketching opportunities within this area.  Led by one of our distinguished watercolourists, Ted Dansey, there will be a sketching workshop that will follow the presentation that will enable everyone online to join in with the sketching activity.

Tickets are free but are required. As this is a local community building activity onsite participation is reserved for Hobsons Bay residents, but everyone is warmly invited to participate through the online activity.
