Hobsons Bay Arts Society & TERPS Christmas Party at Truganina Homestead Sunday 6th December
Approximately 40 people attended the Christmas BBQ and what a wonderful day weather wise with lots of scrumptious food and great company.   It was great to see everyone there.  BBQ run by none other than John Burnet ably assisted by wife Eleanor who had the table decorations looking beautiful and catering well organised.

October activity night with Craig Penny.
September Activity night with Mirabela Varga.  A fantastic night enjoyed by a good attendance of members and guests. What a vibrant and inspiring character she is. Mirabela painted one of her signature subjects in Melbourne, her impression of the corner of Flinders and Swanson streets from the North East.  Kirsten brought along a video camera to allow us to watch the demonstration on the big screen. No more blind spots during demonstrations.
June activity night  Trudi Harley and Brian Davies from Atelier Art Supplies display their art materials to the HBAS members.
Atelier is local supplier at 199 Champion Road Williamstown. All supplies at 25% below recommended retail .
May activity night  Ray Hewitt demonstrates "how to plan and compose a landscape subject" Monday May 25th 2015
Ray explained the importance of breaking the subject into defined shapes. Avoiding splitting the subject into equal parts to cause a boring composition. The value of painting tonal shapes to bring out the lights in a painting allowing the darkest dark to compliment the lightest light. The focus points of the painting should be clearly defined by placing them above or below the centre point and not in the middle horizontally.
April activity night  Bill Kerr's demonstration on "How to tackle the beginnings of a Portrait" Monday 27th April 2015
