Featured Artist: Wanda Jones

Picture
Wanda Jones has always been interested in Art. In 5th Grade, she was flattered when her teacher asked if she could have a picture she had drawn. It was a flower done in pastels. When Wanda left high school and started work, she also attended night Art School for a year. In her own words, Wanda mused ‘when I met boys, Art went!’ After moving to a farm when she got married, she found herself sketching the animals. Unfortunately, when her marriage failed and she moved back to the city, she had to work fulltime so there was no time for her art.
However, after many years and in retirement, she took up her art again Her sister, Julie gave her, her first set of pastels and her art journey began again.  Wanda has tried many different subjects but she drifts back to ‘pastelling’ animals.
