Sheree McCrum
Hi, I’m Sheree McCrum, I’ve loved living in Melbourne for over 37 years, 26 of them in Seabrook. I’m originally from California. The lifestyle and weather are very similar here which helped a great deal with my move. I came to Australia as a fashion designer and was fortunate to have a very successful career. After I retired from designing, my husband and I sold handmade tableware at craft markets allowing me to stay home with our daughter.
Now that I’m completely retired I enjoy up-cycling furniture, sewing, gardening or creating something for the house. And for the last three years I have been attending art classes in various mediums. I am still in the learning stages, interested in oils, charcoal, gauche and acrylics. But every time I see someone do some fantastic work of art, I want to run out and buy whatever medium they used and try what I’ve just seen. I am still to pick one medium on which to concentrate and try to excel. I am in the beginning stages of my artistic journey and plan to be creating, in some way, shape or form for years to come.
