I was always drawing cars as a kid and got really influenced by the custom cars of the 50s & 60s.
A girl who lived across the street from me was into fashion design, particularly Carnaby style, and I really liked the 1960s fashion. I then started taking notice of mid-century architecture.
By 1970 when I had the freedom to indulge, the world had become more conservative and life took over, but there was always that desire to create unique style.
Watching Wayne Clements on TV convinced me to try painting which had revived my interest in design.
My preferred medium is Acrylic, Australian landscapes and designs are favourite subjects of mine, and I often like to include some humour in my art.
